Covid-19 Check in.

Dear Friends and Collaborators

Last month, as we were all gearing up to begin another slate of shoots and projects for what’s normally the busy-season, the Covid-19 outbreak pushed back most things, and cancelled many projects altogether. While some collaborative projects have gone digital, others have had to be scrapped entirely. 

Anxieties surrounding public health notwithstanding, concerns around work have manifested and are palpable in many of my recent discussions . Amidst the rain and the extension of the quarantine, I’m called to a place of optimism and renewed vigor.

This stasis is not permanent. Whilst we face the uncertainties of when we can trickle back into society and resume some semblance of normalcy, I want to reach out with some forward thinking vibes.

This quote from Matisse is particularly apt:

“Creative people are curious, flexible, persistent, and independent with a tremendous spirit of adventure, and love a of play.”

I invite you to keep in mind, especially during these times, that all of us embody these traits and while the nuance of this temporary pause affects us all differently, we share that common sense of persistence and the love ofplay… to be creative.

That said, let’s be creatively optimistic… GET THOSE IDEAS OFF THE BACK BURNER and get creative! Lets use this time to work on new ideas, fine tune and/or finish projects we’ve been working on. So that when this storm blows over, you will be poised to execute those personal projects, those headshots, portraits, branding or any other commercial photography needs and ideas we come up with!
